Fashion Trends for Autumn / Winter 2015

The beginning of autumn is our favourite fashion time. Chunky cable knits and warm winter coats arrive into stores just in time for the crisp sunny days that often mark the start of September. Animal prints have made a comeback this season with not only leopard print, but also giraffe, fox, butterfly and owl. Colour blocking is another key trend as is the mixing of creative prints in contrasting colours.

Monochrome patterns and florals, add vibrancy and life to knits and outerwear. This year tribal prints as well as ethnic patterns in warm autumnal colours are widely seen. Maxi dresses are back in style with the ever popular tunics, worn over knits and shirts, are staying in fashion. Fashionable outerwear offers layering options in the form of sleeveless tailored coats, kimono coats and three quarter length sleeve boyfriend coats.

Culottes are back in fashion and although these three quarter length trousers are not for everyone, they look amazing when the styling is right. The polo-neck is back for autumn - on really cold days wear it beneath another knit. For fine knits, wear them tucked into trousers, or wear them chunky over long skirts.
